Krishna Loka will be developed as a part of ISKCON Krishnafest, Inc., a Florida corporation established in 1990 and recognized as a nonprofit entity under Section 501(c)(3), IRC. Preliminary plans are underway to develop a model and supporting policies for the development and management of a contingency reserve or ‘rainy day fund’ that helps ensure Krishna Loka’s operational viability.

Once the contingency reserve is achieved the focus turns to establishing and growing endowments that are primarily funded by donor bequests and deferred gifts. The endowments may be used to underwrite education programs, scholarships, outreach programs or other Krishna Loka  related projects. Both the contingency reserve and endowment are planned for later phases of Krishna Loka’s development.
